The RER B remains the default: 25 to 35 minutes to Gare du Nord depending on direct or all-stops service, every 10 to 15 minutes in the daytime. The ride requires the 14 EUR "Paris Région <> Aéroports" ticket — the standard 2.55 EUR metro ticket is not valid at airport stations. The airport ticket covers 2 hours of metro and RER connections.
The RoissyBus no longer exists: the Opéra-CDG line stopped for good on 28 February 2026, and plenty of sites still recommend it. Its replacement, express bus 9517, links CDG to Saint-Denis Pleyel (metro 14) in about 30 minutes for a regular 2.05 EUR bus fare. Hence a clever budget route: metro 14 (2.55 EUR) + bus 9517 (2.05 EUR), about 4.60 EUR instead of 14 — but two legs and one transfer, suitcases included.
By taxi, the official 2026 flat rates are fixed by decree: 56 EUR to the Right Bank, 65 EUR to the Left Bank — day and night, up to 4 passengers, luggage and tolls included. Ignore the "tarif unique" of 62 EUR advertised by some booking sites: that is a commercial price, not the regulated fare. Ride-hailing runs 40–70 EUR and passes 100 EUR at arrival peaks.
Metro line 14 serves the Aéroport d'Orly station directly (all four terminals on foot) — same 14 EUR airport ticket, about 25 minutes from Châtelet, trains every 4 to 8 minutes. The OrlyBus disappeared in March 2025. Taxi flat rates: 36 EUR to the Left Bank, 45 EUR to the Right Bank.
Paper tickets have not been sold since November 2025: everything loads onto a Navigo Easy card (2 EUR, rechargeable) or your phone. 2026 fares: metro-RER 2.55 EUR, bus-tram 2.05 EUR.
The Navigo Semaine (32.40 EUR, zones 1-5) is the week's best deal — once you understand its trap: it is a calendar week, Monday 0:00 to Sunday, never a rolling 7 days. For Fashion Week the calendar cooperates: the week of 28 September to 4 October covers 7 show days, it goes on sale from Friday 25 September, and the pass also swallows the RER B or metro 14 airport leg (unlike the Navigo Jour day pass, which still leaves you paying the 14 EUR airport ticket). That leaves Monday the 5th and Tuesday the 6th: pay those with single tickets or Navigo Liberté+ (2.04 EUR per ride) — a second Semaine for two days only pays off beyond roughly fifteen rides. And if you land between Thursday the 24th and Saturday the 26th: do not buy that week's pass, it dies on Sunday night.
The metro runs until about 1:15am (2:15am on Fridays and Saturdays). The last RER B from CDG leaves around 11:50pm; after that it is Noctilien night bus N143 or N140 via Gare du Nord to Gare de l'Est, for a regular bus fare. Mind the recurring works pattern: the CDG branch of the RER B is regularly cut in the evening from 10:45pm — the October works calendar was not yet published as we wrote this, so check it the week you fly.
From the EU and EEA, your plan works in Paris at no extra cost ("roam like at home"). From the UK, most operators charge EU roaming by the day (2 to 3.50 GBP depending on the plan). From outside Europe, a travel eSIM is the simple option: data-only, installed over Wi-Fi before departure, on an unlocked, eSIM-capable phone. Our eSIM recommendation for the week will be published here before the shows open.
