The figure to note before you pay: entry is free for anyone under 25, resident in the European Union or not, on proof. Not 18, not EU nationals only: under 25, full stop.
For everyone else, our €15 is the museum's full price, and the ticket is a single one: it opens the permanent collection as much as the temporary exhibitions. The Galerie de l'Homme is therefore included. Reduced rate €12.
A reduction nobody passes on: a full-price ticket less than three months old from another Muséum site — the Jardin des Plantes, the Musée de l'Homme, the Vincennes zoo — brings you to €12 here. Keep the zoo ticket.
The museum closes on Tuesday, and also on 1 January, 1 May, 14 July and 25 December. Open 11am-7pm, last admission 6pm, rooms cleared at 6.45pm. The museum library, for its part, is open to everyone without an appointment Monday to Friday, free of charge.
The exhibition came out of a meeting between Samuel Pavard, a biodemographer and specialist in ageing at the Muséum, and the photographer Nikos Aliagas. Art and science on the same subject: growing old. Recommended from age 6.
