Our €12 is the museum's full price; it also sells a €10 reduced ticket. The permanent collections are free and need no booking: the ticket buys the exhibition and nothing else.
Start with the address. The entrance hall is being rebuilt and you go in at 16 rue Antoine-Bourdelle, at the green gate — not at number 18. Then the clock: last admission 5.15pm, rooms cleared at 5.45pm, museum shut at 6pm. And the museum takes no suitcases at all, not even in the cloakroom; the nearest paid left luggage is inside Gare Montparnasse, which is probably where you arrived.
The real saving is elsewhere. The museum has set up a joint rate with the Palais Galliera: a ticket to L'étoffe de l'artiste earns the reduced rate for Un vestiaire à soi, and the other way round. Both shows are about clothes and they answer each other. We sell both at full price. Buy one, show it at the other.
What is inside: more than fifty garments and accessories worn by artists — Klimt, Rosa Bonheur, Foujita, Sonia Delaunay — against fifty photographs, thirty-three paintings, twelve drawings and nine sculptures. It started with the rediscovery, in 2020, of Bourdelle's own wardrobe.
With the Paris Musées card the museum's exhibitions are free and unlimited.
