Read this before you buy: the museum states that under-26s get in free to this exhibition. If you are under 26, our €15 is no use to you.
For everyone else, €15 is indeed Guimet's full price, and the ticket is a single one: it opens the permanent collections as well as the temporary exhibitions. The reduced rate is €12. And entry is free for all on the first Sunday of each month, permanent and temporary alike.
The diary trap: Guimet closes on Tuesday, not Monday like most Paris museums. Open on the other days 10am-6pm, ticket desks shut at 5.15pm, last admission 5.30pm, rooms cleared at 5.45pm. Closed 1 May, 14 July, 25 December and 1 January.
Two details at the desk. Chèques-vacances earn the reduced rate; American Express and chèques Culture are not accepted. And a ticket bought at the desk is neither refunded nor exchanged.
The exhibition sits in the rotunda on the second floor, and the museum puts the visit at forty-five minutes — which leaves plenty of time to see the rest on the same ticket. The museum's own title is "Le savoir en trompe-l'œil. Corée, 18e-20e s.": scholarly libraries painted in trompe-l'œil, between erudition and dream.
